CA1 RO-receiving CA3-targeting*
* indicates new v2.0 neuron type
Name Supertype (ID:Family:Type:Subregion)
CA1 (i)0202p-CA3_00010 RO-receiving CA3-targeting* S131504:Collateral-related:RO-targeting:CA1

Name derivation
This name is derived from the general description of its axonal-dendritic patterning and targeting. CA1 distinguishes these cells from cells in other subregions.

Synonym(s)

Previously this packet was mistakenly submitted for vetting as an on-hold cell type. It is now under re-consideration as an active cell type. - 05/02/2018

The axonal morphology is not very clear to me based on current evidence. I am not sure about making this packet active in the absence of a real reconstruction using intracellular labeling. Are these neurons even GABAergic or Glutamatergic? - KM 05/24/2018

The abstract describes them as a novel subtype of interneuron expressing both GABA and GAD67. I am still in favor of making this novel type of neuron active. - DWW 06/05/2018

I think there's enough evidence to make it active. OK - GAA 07/18/2018
