"Figure 2. Different excitability does not correlate with previously known diversity of CCK+ [cholecystokinin positive] cells. (A) Axonal (black) and dendritic (blue) reconstructions of four CCK+INs [interneurons] in the CA3 region representing two major morphological types, the mossy-fiber associated cells and basket cells. The firing of cell#1 and #2 { !! cell ID 2134 not found !! } are shown in detail in Figure 1A. The firing from hyperpolarized MP [membrane potentials] is shown for each cell. Immuno-labelling for CCK and the nuclear protein Satb1 [special AT-rich sequence-binding protein-1] are shown next to each recorded cell."

You don't count A:SR in Vida Fig. 1 but you do in Losonczy Fig. 3.
Could D:SO in Losoncy have been cut? Otherwise dendrites look very much like ones in Vida Fig. 1.
I would argue to put these packets back together in 03332p. - DWW 11/28/2011

Borderline: soma axonal presence in SO and SR

Axons have not been counted in SR for this cell, despite the personal communication from Dr Soltesz suggesting that MFA's make synapses with the dendrites of CA3 granule cells in SR, because the cells identified in the Soltesz work show the 03330p pattern.

The proposed CA3 L-MFA for v2.0 passes review for me. - JDK 08/24/2021

I must admit I find the reasoning for 'activating' this [CA3 L-MFA] packet a little thin. On the one hand, the absence of axon from PCL is at least open to interpretation; on the other, I see axons pushing towards the DG which would make them match the 1.0 MFA-Orden pattern. Soâ?¦ I would lean towards keeping frozen for now. Iâ??m certainly happy to reconsider if desired. - GAA 01/26/2022

I agree with the potential match [of the CA3 L-MFA cells] to the DG (i)02332p MFA ORDEN cells, in particular, to Figure 8B from Gulyas et al, 1993. The Gulyas cell does not explicitly reach DG, but it was folded in to the neuron type anyway. Therefore, I would lean more into assigning these two cells to be supplementary to the MFA ORDEN type, rather than simply putting them on hold. - DWW 01/28/2022

I am in favor of DWW's idea to make these two [CA3 L-MFA] cells supplementary to the active v1.0 MFA ORDEN type. - JDK 01/28/2022
