Spike Patterns are simulated using a two-dimensional system (Izhikevich, 2003 & 2007) as follows:

- resting voltage, - threshold voltage, - spike cutoff value, - post-spike reset value for the voltage, C - cell capacitance

 

Multi-compartment currents are calculated as follows:

 

 

- coupling strength, - degree of coupling asymmetry.
